Beaded Rabbet
In a beaded shutter, a bead is run down the full length of the outside edges of the stiles on the front.
A rabetted shutter has a 3/8" rabbet on the stiles where the shutters come together. The pair will overlap when closed.
If both are applied, the bead is applied on the opposite side from the rabbet. Only 1 bead will be visible in any position.
Inner stile beading is a visual detail that runs down the side of the stile that connects with the crossrails.
Arched tops replace the top rail of shutter with an alternative creating an arched top in a circular arc shape.
The exact shape is determined by the height and width of the shutter, plus the short side - the height of the outer stile where it intersects the arc.
False Tilt Rods are a visual detail, mimicking the look of a true tilt rod on our fixed louvered shutters.
Cutouts are laser-cut through the entire thickness of the upper-most panel on the shutter. They are typically 5-inches wide, though 2-inch wide cutouts are used on smaller shutters.
Z-bracing run diaganol from the corner of the top batten to the inside corner of the bottom batten.
It transfers force closer to the mounting hardware, and helps combat sagging of the shutters over time.
